We began doing business in 1875 as Robert Soper Ltd., a family-owned sailmaking company. Today we are still a family business with traditional business values and ethics. We use computer-aided design (CAD) and sophisticated technology to deliver shop-floor functionality solutions and bold, dramatic fabric architecture for clients across North America.
Our 40,000 square foot manufacturing facility is centrally located in Hamilton, Ontario. From our plant floor employees to senior management, Soper’s maintains a customer-focused environment where the client is always number one. Capabilities
Soper’s prides itself on providing our customers with a value-added approach in designing, manufacturing, installing and servicing our products. When you purchase a Soper’s SoftWall product, you are getting more than fabric and steel frames. You are getting a complete custom-designed solution.
Consultation
Soper’s provides a thorough pre-design consultation to gain a complete understanding of the customer’s unique needs. Our expert staff, or one of our qualified distributors, will probe the problem in great detail, and if necessary, make a personal site visit. The customer will be presented with various options and ideas. Cost, practicality, and physical and logistical constraints are taken into account.
Design
Soper’s SoftWall products are customized and tailored for the customer. Each application is unique. Soper’s in-house drafting and AutoCAD department is able to prepare detailed drawings of components and assemblies. Furthermore, Soper’s works with a network of third party engineers and consultants, whose professional service is used when necessary.
Manufacturing
Our team pays attention to every detail. Production begins in the cutting department and moves to our sewing department or welding operations where we employ three FIAB welders. We also utilize a PTFE sealer when working with architectural fabrics. We utilize only high quality, fully “spec’d” materials to achieve the rugged durability of demanding industrial and processing operations.
Installation
Soper’s scope of work goes beyond manufacturing. We employ full-time installation personnel dedicated to installing your product with little or no interruption. Our installation personnel are professionally trained to meet workplace health and safety expectations and are fully insured. Our team is dedicated to ensuring the installation of your product is done to your satisfaction.
